The Titchfield Carnival
Titchfield Carnival is often billed as the largest Carnival on the South Coast and it is Technical Services' oldest continuous job.
We have attended every parade since 1979, providing PA cover for 60% of the route and radio communications to keep the procession moving.
The Portsmouth & Southsea Show
The Portsmouth & Southsea Show is one of our longest running events.
Staged on the first weekend in August every year, Technical Services have provided PA, communications & Radio Control personnel since 1982.
At the present time general PA cover extends to all marquees and main gangways for overall public service announcements.
Entertainment PA is provided for the Main Arena, Dog Agility Ring, Dog Show Ring, Countryside Arena and Show Jumping Ring.
The Great Vintage Fly In
The Great Vintage Fly In Weekend is one of our favourite events.
We have been involved with it for about 6 years and although the event moves venue the PA remains similar with a commentators box and 300 metres of crowd line cover.
RNLI Raft Race
Supporters of the RNLI hold a raft race every August to raise funds to help this well deserving cause.
It takes place on Southampton Water at Hythe in the New Forest, between Hythe Pier and Hythe Marina.
We provide a PA System comprising a Commentary Unit with six horn loudspeakers, this is used for basic announcements in addition to commentary on the race by Dennis Skillicorn from Radio Solent. This event is always well supported with 100's turning out to support the RNLI.
The City of Portsmouth Heavy Horse Parade
The City of Portsmouth Heavy Horse Parade is held every year on the early May Bank Holiday Weekend.
Technical Services have been involved every year since its inception. In addition to the Arena PA we provide Digital Timing for the Obstacle Driving Competition, Power connections for the office and Catering marquee and Two Way Radios.
Quainton Steam Fair
A typical Open Air Summer PA Job is at Quainton Steam Fair held at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.
One Arena is covered with six horn speakers from one of our custom Commentators units.
